In December, 2008, Grand Traverse Title Agency in Traverse City, Michigan, and Leelanau Title Agency in Suttons Bay, Michigan, closed their doors. Grand Traverse Title Agency purchased the tract books from the County of Grand Traverse in or around 1925. Over the last 80+ years, they have maintained the tract index to the present time. Leelanau Title Agency purchased the tract books from the County of Leelanau in 1974, and had also maintained the tract index to the present time. GTL Title Plant, LLC has purchased the tract indexes for both Grand Traverse County and Leelanau County, and will continue to maintain the tracts to present date.
